The Balsam Fir is the King of the forest, the Christmas Tree or abies balsamea, by its latin name.
Its sap, which crystalizes into a hard resin, has medicinal qualities as an expectorant and is used in the famous Bonbons des Vosges.
Burned on charcoal, it releases a thick smoke, curiously not irritating, which is an excellent antiseptic for the air and which fights germs.
The scent it diffuses stays light, woody and lemony. This incense is recommended, alone or with others, for purification rituals.
