Sandalwood (New delivery)

Sandalwood is, without contest, the King of aromatic woods.

Known and used as an incense in India since time immemorial, it also served to build the temples which, centuries later, still bear its scent.
It is associated with a number of rituals, and is also used to calm anxiety in traditional aromatherapy.

It is very much prized in the perfume industry. It provides a woody base, an excellent fixative for capturing and displaying other scents.
It's wood, in powdered form, is therefore an excellent base for creating a mixture of incenses, a good starting point for any beginner.

In Buddhism, in particular, the scent of Sandalwood is said to aid in the transformation of desires and to keep the mind in a meditative state. It
corresponds to the Padma family (Buddha Amitabha).

A small pile of powdered Sandalwood placed on charcoal develops a smoke from which the perfumes appear little by little, sweetly revealing
all the character of this royal incense.
